Job Description:

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager (L6) to join our team at MBPS. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program according to the scope of work and service level requirements. Duties include hiring, coaching and development to direct reports, managing performance, and developing tactical approaches to act on any identified needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resource Management: Ensure the provision and coordination of necessary resources. Focus on key metrics and achieve short-term objectives.

  • Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations and prepare effective performance plans. Provide monthly feedback on service, quality, and productivity.

  • Staff Development: Assess staff strengths and development needs. Allocate time and resources for professional development and provide coaching.

  • Process Improvement: Seek and implement process improvement ideas. Collaborate with the Director of Operations to enhance efficiency and reduce operational expenses.

  • Training Support: Work closely with On-the-Job Trainers (OJTs) and Learning & Development (L&D) teams to support ongoing training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • 5+ years of experience in a large business with 2+ years of experience in managing operations and/or project management.

  • 3-5 years annuity or financial services industry experience.

  • Critical thinking; able to identify root cause of issues and takes the necessary steps to solve larger problems.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
